Associate Head Coach Petros Kyprianou coached his athletes to five NCAA titles last year and a World and American Record by Kendell Williams in the indoor pentathlon. Already this year, Keturah Orji has scored a US Junior Record in the triple jump. Coach Kyprianou discusses his group's progress and the Rod Mcreavy Meet.

''We had a solid fall training with the group (jumps and multis) here at Georgia. Main focus was in improving our weaknesses and supplementing our strengths. I am thankful to be working with great kids that push each other and having fun at the same time. Last year was very successful for our group but this year is new and unpredictable. The competition is stiff and new outstanding talent has entered the NCAA. OUr main goal and focus is to stay healthy, continue the hard work and mainly have fun doing it. Everything else is irrelevant. This past weekend we solidified a few NCAA indoor qualifying marks so we can go back to training until March. Kendell Williams and Quintunya Chapman along with 'fresh' January admit Aussie heptathlete/jumper Aliyah Johnson competed hard and showed consistency in their development. Our two girl high jumpers Leontia Kallenou and Tatiana Gusin also showed steady development early in the season both at 6 feet. Newcomer jumper Keturah Orji opened up with a new school and American Junior Indoor record in the triple jump. Morgann Leleux in the pole vault also appeared to have adjusted to her comeback from red-shirting last outdoor season and had a solid season best.

In the men's side our multi crew put up solid qualifying scores and now can go back to continue preparing for March. Uibo, Scantling and Williams all feed of of each other as their development continues thorough this season. The fourth of the company Karl Saluri will be sitting out this year.

All in all, cant ask for better kids to be around and share these memories and experiences. Technical development and hard work only comes with enjoying doing your craft! ''
