FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas is set to host the Tyson Invitational Friday and Saturday at Randal Tyson Track Center. Friday’s field events begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon start on Saturday.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
The men’s team enters the weekend as the top-ranked team in the country, welcoming nine other ranked opponents to Randal Tyson. The No. 1 Razorbacks are joined by three top-ten foes, No. 5 Wisconsin, No. 6 Florida State and No. 9 Nebraska. Alabama comes in as the No. 11 team in the country, along with No. 13 Texas, No. 17 Mississippi State and No. 18 LSU. Illinois and Southern California round out the ranked opponents to watch this weekend at No. 23 and No. 24, respectively.
On the women’s side, the No. 6 Razorbacks are joined by four of the nation’s top teams this weekend. The top-ranked Longhorns of Texas will be back at Randal Tyson this weekend, along with No. 10 LSU, No. 17 Mississippi State and No. 25 Baylor.
WHAT TO WATCH: RUNNING EVENTS
As the NCAA Championships draw near, athletes are picking up the pace in hopes of making an NCAA-qualifying time. Currently, several Razorbacks are ranked among the nation’s leaders. Heading into the weekend, Regine Williams is ranked third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.06, a personal-best set by the freshman at the Razorback Invitational. Neil Braddy ranks among the top-10 400-meter runners in the nation with a time of 46.36 achieved at the Arkansas vs. Texas Duals. The men’s 4x400 relay team holds onto the No. 2 spot in the country with an impressive finish at the Razorback Invitational in 3:05.02.
