Meet Record Falls on Day 1 of #RaleighRelaysPublished by NC State SID on March 28, 2015 RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State kicked off the first day of Raleigh Relays at Paul H. Derr track, as transfer-student Wesley Frazier ran to a new meet record in the 5,000m. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the Wolfpack finished with a host of top-five finishes, and several marks at the top of national polls.
100 Hurdles: Alexis Perry picked up the Pack's first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) qualifying mark of the day on her outdoor season debut. The Durham, N.C., native dominated the preliminary heat of the 100m hurdles, finishing first with a time of 13.46. Perry jumped out to a quick lead, as she finished half of a second ahead of her closest competitor.
100m: The Wolfpack continued its impressive showing in the short distance, as Jonathan Addison and Paisley Simmons both finished among the top five in their respective races. Addison finished first in his heat with a mark of 10.79, and Simmons finished in third with a mark of 12.10. Both will race in the final heats tomorrow. Read the full article at: www.gopack.com
