Track and Field sweeps Texas InvitationalPublished by Texas SID on April 11, 2015 Morolake Akinosun claimed three women's event titles and Chris Irvinwas a part of two for the men to help Track and Field continue its strong start to the outdoor season with a sweep of the team titles at Saturday's Texas Invitational. Skies were cloudy through most of the day, but the expected thunderstorms held off and a number of impressive performances were posted, including a pair of Mike A. Myers Stadium records and a combined 13 event titles (seven men's, six women's) for the Longhorns. "We had last weekend off for the majority of the team, and obviously had some great performances on the distance end out there at the Stanford Invitational," said head coach Mario Sategna.
