Alabama Track and Field Adds 23 to Roster with 2015 Recruiting Class

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama head coach Dan Waters announced Monday that, to date, 23 student-athletes have signed letters of intent to join the Crimson Tide track and field program for the 2015-16 season. Among the signees are 13 recruits on the women's side and 10 newcomers to the men's squad. The Alabama coaching staff remains in a recruiting period and more could be added to the roster in the near future.
The members of this signing class have combined to earn 26 individual high school state championships and 15 junior college national titles to date, and the class includes student-athletes across the full spectrum of disciplines: 11 sprinters (6 men and 5 women - 4 of whom are also hurdlers), 7 distance runners (5 women, 2 men), 3 throwers (2 men, 1 woman) and 2 jumpers (2 women). Signees come from 10 states (Alabama - 6, Tennessee - 3, Florida - 2, Texas - 2, Arizona - 1, Illinois - 1, Michigan - 1, New Jersey - 1, New York - 1, and Ohio - 1) and four foreign countries (Belgium - 1, Jamaica - 1, Kenya -1, Zambia - 1).
