[Track & Field] Women's track sets several school records, brings home Berea Invite title[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Arutoff throws his way to MSC Field Athlete of the Week honorsPublished by
Georgetown College men's and women's track team were fast out of the blocks this season. The Tiger teams opened at the Berea Invitational with Top 3 finishes. The women brought home the top prize, scoring 229.50 points. The next closest was host Berea with 138.50. Lindsey Wilson was third with 115. St. Catharine was the only other Mid-South Conference team at the meet and finished fourth with 69 points. The men finished third (145) behind Berea (260) and LWC (156). SCC came in fifth with 33.50 points. Keith Arutoff is battling injury, but he is not letting that stop him from being one of the best throwers in the Mid-South Conference Track & Field competitions. The senior, who is in need of Tommy John surgery, has yet to lose in the first three meets of the season and this past weekend at the Lindsey Wilson Invitational won the hammer and discus to earn MSC Field Athlete of the Week.
