Northeast Conference Cross Country Release (10/25)Published by
 It was a week of rest and final tune-ups for the harriers of the NEC as only four of the 12 schools competed in the final weekend of NEC Cross Country action. The four active schools were all present at the CCSU mini-meet where Central Connecticut junior Craig Hunt ran to a second place (14:53) overall finish to earn NEC Athlete of the Week honors while fellow Blue Devil Andy Pullaro picks up NEC Rookie of the Week honors after placing 14th (15:50) on the Stanley Park 5K course. On the women’s side, Bryant sophomore Eimear Black notches her first career NEC Athlete of the Week honor following her third place finish (10:11) in the women’s 3K race at the Mini Meet. This weekend all 12 teams will head to Holmdel Park, NJ where Monmouth University will host the 2011 NEC Championship.
