[Men's Track & Field] Dillard Women's 4x100 Meter Relay Team Qualifies for NAIA National ...Published by
New Orleans, LA-The Dillard Bleu Devils Women's Track and Field 4x100-meter relay team has qualified for NAIA National Track and Field Championships on May 26th. The relay team ran a time of 47.8, finishing 7th in the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Cajun Track and Field Meet last week. The time was the 4th fastest in the NAIA this season. The women's 4x100-meter relay team consists of Wanda Burkes, Destinee Showell, Shandreka Keller and Courtney Henry. In women's individual competition, Courtney Henry finished 11th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.58 and Destiny Showell finished 17th with a time of 12.68. Both Henry and Showell qualify for the NAIA National Track and Field Championships in 100 and 200-meter dash. In men's competition, Dillard's 4x400-meter relay team finished with the 5th fastest time in the NAIA. The relay team's time of 3:22.63 was good for 9th at University of Louisiana-Lafayette Cajun Track and Field Meet last weekend. In men's individual competition, Freshman Rudy Garza finished 4thin the 400-meter hurdles.
