[Women's Indoor Track and Field] Indoor Track & Field Season SummaryPublished by
The Montreat Cavalier's Track and Field team competed in their second indoor meet of the season, this time traveling east to UNC. With eleven athletes competing, Montreat College was represented well at UNC, and the Cavaliers turned in a number of impressive performances during the meet on January 29th, 2011. Senior Ben Hall was impressive in his first race of the season, finishing fourth in his heat of the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9 minutes and 12 seconds. "Ben ran a tough race," said Coach Justin Herbert, "but we certainly have room for improvement. He's been running through a hamstring injury for awhile now, but he's such a tough runner that he competes well despite the injury." Hall, one of the most decorated athletes in Montreat school history, ran a tough race against some very strong competition at Chapel Hill, and will look to compete well again this weekend as he travels to East Tennessee State University.Read the full article at: www.montreatcavaliers.com
