[Women's Cross Country] Lady Builder Cross Country Finishes Second at Wichita State Gold Classic

Augusta, Kan. - The Southwestern College women's cross country, who is receiving votes in the national pre-season poll, opened up their season at the Wichita State J.K. Gold Classic held at the RAFT Golf Course this past Saturday.  In the 4000M women's race, Southwestern College finished in second place out of nine total teams.  

Southwestern was led by senior Jennifer Hendrixson  (Sedgwick, KS) who was the first NAIA finisher in the race.  Hendrixson finished with a time of 15:33 and has also been named as the KCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Freshman Briana Cathcart (Fort Collins, CO) finished inside of the top 50 overall runners in her first collegiate race with a time of 16:01.  Mallorie Coffman (Newton, KS) 16:36, Jacey Cullop (Sterling, KS) 17:07, Erica Dunigan (Hutchinson, KS) 17:53 and Rachel Busch (Leoti, KS) 18:35 rounded out the scoring members of the Lady Builders.
