[Women's Basketball] Makenzie Bebo signs with Jamestown College[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Former Jimmie Wins Omaha MarathonPublished by
Jamestown College head women's basketball coach Greg Ulland announced that Makenzie Bebo of St. Michael, Minnesota, signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College and play for the Jimmies beginning in 2013. Bebo, a five-foot-six guard, is averaging 11 points per game this season and is over 40 percent from behind the arc for St. Michael-Albertville. Last year, she helped lead her team to a 22-8 record with a State Tournament appearance. "Makenzie is an exciting addition to the program," Ulland said. "She is an excellent defender with great three-point range. Watching her play quite a bit this summer, I truly believe Jamestown College is a perfect fit for her. Makenzie is tenacious on defense and has played at a high level already this year, helping her team to a 5-0 start. We look forward to welcoming Makenzie to the Jimmie family next fall."< Former Jamestown College cross country and track and field athlete Curtis Huffman won the Omaha (Neb.) Marathon on Sunday. Huffman, a 2008 JC graduate, finished the 26.2-mile race in a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds. He finished eight minutes ahead of the second-place finisher. It was the first career marathon victory for Huffman, who is an accomplished marathoner. He placed fourth in the 2010 Fargo Marathon. The race featured 387 male runners and 236 female participants.
