Chanelle Price won with grace and speed.

She won everywhere, except the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials.

But Price, the greatest female track and field athlete to ever come out of the Lehigh Valley, will likely get another chance at the Olympics in 2012.

''I want to run 1:56, 1:57,'' said Price, an 800-meter runner who was an All-American at Easton High School and is currently a sophomore at the University of Tennessee.

''I want to be rolling, ranked in the world and just keep moving forward,'' Price added.

Not making the 2008 U.S. Olympic team was a setback, but not a devastating one. After all, Price was only 17 at the time. She had dominated in the 800 against athletes in her age range.

Price won three PIAA Class 3A track and field titles in the 800, establishing a state and National Federation of High Schools record in 2:02.38.
