Women's Cross Country Takes Sixth at 2015 NYSCTC MeetPublished by
 SUNY COBLESKILL WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TAKES SIXTH AT NYSCTC MEETClinton, N.Y.: As they prepared to defend their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Cross Country Championships, the SUNY Cobleskill women's cross country team tuned up for the event by posting a score of 161 points to place sixth in a field of nine teams at the 2015 New York State College Track Conference (NYSCTC) Meet hosted by the Continentals of Hamilton College on Saturday at the college's golf course.Junior Taylor Tommell, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School, continued her outstanding season by placing 13th overall in the 86 runner field by completing the 6000-meter course in a time of 23:46.7 to earn Second Team All-NYSCTC Honors for the meet. Freshman Quinn Porter, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Burnt Hills High School, also turned in a strong showing at the meet placing 23rd overall with a time of 24:11.7 while sophomore AnnaClaire Piersiak, Staten Island, N.Y., Curtis High School, placed 42nd versus the field in a time of 24:55.4.The Fighting Tigers scoring was rounded out by senior Megan Jenney, Troy, N.Y., Catholic Central High School, who placed 56th overall in 26:15.5 and by senior Chantal Fauteux, Lebanon, Conn., Lyman Memorial High School, who finished in 59th place with a time of 26:26.0.Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday October 31st when they travel to Janesville Beach, N.Y. for the 2015 NEAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Cazenovia College at Janesville Beach Park beginning with the men's race at 11:00 a.m. followed by the women's race at 12:00 p.m. Read the full article at: fightingtigers.cobleskill.edu
