[Indoor Track and Field] Men Take Home Team Title at Wichita State Shocker PreludePublished by
WICHITA, Kan. - Friends University Track and Field traveled across town this past weekend for the Wichita State Shocker Prelude. Wichita State hosts this meet on a yearly basis and invites four teams to compete in the internationally scored meet. International scoring consists of two athletes being able to score points for their team in each individual event. This year's competition included Wichita State, Emporia State, Oklahoma Baptist, Angelo State (Texas), and Friends University. At the end of the day Friends came away with the men's team victory scoring 146 points with Wichita State in 2nd with 132. The women's team scored 121 points and came in 5th place as a team. Friends University was the only non-NCAA affiliated school in the competition. Overall throughout the day, Friends athletes won five events, broke five school records, and hit eight NAIA National Standards. Read the full article at: www.friendsathletics.com
