Principia Track and Field competed well at St. Louis UniversityPublished by
 St. Louis, MO. -- The Principia track and field team competed close to home this weekend at St. Louis University. The team battled strong winds and cool temperatures during competition. Friday evening Deirdre Wright and Dani McKenzie competed in the long jump. Wright set a new personal record of 4.85m (15' 11") which places her third on the all-time top ten list. Senior McKenzie competed in her first long jump event with an impressive 4.80m (15' 9"), she is now 4th on the all-time top ten list. Between Friday and Saturday Richard Bonsi and Jonathan Ansumana competed in the 200m dash. Bonsi won the event with a time of 22.38 and Ansumana ran 23.50. As the sun went down and the city of St. Louis and the arch itself lit up, Bonsi (6.78m, 22' 3") and Ansumana (6.26m, 20' 6.5") competed in the long jump.
