Huskies surpass 3.0 GPA for 17th straight semester

Comments

In an academic year filled with two NCAA tournament appearances, four Huntington 100 recipients and an above-average NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR), Northeastern student-athletes uphold their streak of success in the classroom, recording a cumulative grade point average (GPA) greater than 3.0 for the 17th straight semester. The Red and Black netted a 3.203 GPA this spring 2016, the best mark to date following last spring's 3.19, which was the highest GPA in a decade. The women posted a 3.353 overall GPA and the men amassed a 3.042. Of the more than 300 student-athletes enrolled in full-time classes, 100 Huskies made the Dean's List and 49 earned Top Dog Honors, a status for any student-athlete with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Twenty-one student-athletes raked in a 4.0 GPA this spring, while 12 finished with a 3.9 and 16 concluded the semester with a 3.8.
