Loras' Miller and Tope Named Central Region Cross Country Athletes of the YearPublished by
 NEW ORLEANS — Region Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2016 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as voted on by the division s coaches. Loras College's Mason Tope, junior from Davenport, Iowa, won the Central Region individual title in 25:16.3. He finished 6th at the Iowa Conference Championships earlier in the postseason. 2016 Iowa Conference Champion Audrey Miller of Loras College, a sophomore from Appleton, Wisconsin, won the Central Region individual title in 21:19.9. Bob Schultz, in his 12th season as head coach of Loras College, led the Duhawk men's team to a Central Region title with 101 points.
